Bill O’Connell has spent over 30 years within church leadership. He has served as the Treasurer of local churches for over 25 years, and during that time has forged a reputation as an accomplished church financial professional. He has also served as a Deacon and Elder of the churches where he has been a member.
In his secular career, Bill was a founder and senior executive of two software companies, as well as the financial executive of a Boston based investment management firm. Bill also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Vision Service Plan (VSP) in Rancho Cordova, California.
Bill and his wife, Annie, have been married for 47 years. They have two daughters who are active in ministry and eight grandchildren. Bill can often be found in the summer playing a round of golf.
Allison is a CPA and began her accounting career working for a Big 4 Accounting firm, where she concentrated on individual and business taxation. She has a Master of Accounting degree from Wingate University and an undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University. She is a member of the AICPA and the NC Board of CPAs.
Allison met her husband, Ryan, in college, and welcomed their daughter in 2017. She found a solution for fulfilling both her love of family and continued professional career coming to Wisdom Over Wealth. When she is not enjoying family time or working with clients, she can be found reading or going for a run.
Before joining the Wisdom staff in 2011, Sharon had over 25 years of experience working in and with churches in both accounting and ministry roles. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. She specializes in Stewardship Services as well as training church staff.
When not working with Wisdom clients Sharon enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her six grandchildren.
Marlene began her career in the Financial Services Industry where she worked the Short Term Trading Desk of a large insurance company, handling transactions with major Wall Street firms. Immediately before joining Wisdom she worked in small businesses where she developed small business accounting insight and an in-depth understanding of QuickBooks and other business software. She has served as the Office Manager and Wisdom team member since 2008. In addition to being Wisdom’s Office Manager, Marlene provides Stewardship Service support to clients, software support and guidance to the Wisdom team.
Marlene has been married to her high-school sweetheart for 30 years and has 3 grown children. She enjoys cooking, reading and quilting in her spare time, and spending time with family.
Prior to coming on board at Wisdom, Melissa was an Accounting Manager for a Machine Tool Company. She has an accounting degree from Fitchburg State University and used that as she worked on financial reports and oversaw account receivable and payables. In 1992 she stopped working to be a stay at home Mom and raised three children before re-joining the workforce with Wisdom in 2013.
In her role at Wisdom, Melissa supports churches in systems conversions, preparation of monthly financial reports, and Financial Statement Preparation engagements.
Melissa and her husband Peter just moved to the Mid-West after living in Massachusetts all their lives, and they are looking forward to being involved in the local church, exploring their new area, and enjoying the arrival of their first grandchild in October 2018.
Payroll Supervisor & Foursquare Advocate
Kaitlin serves as Wisdom's Payroll Supervisor and Foursquare Advocate. Prior to joining Wisdom Kaitlin provided accounting and reporting support at the Northeast Foursquare District office. Her responsibilities included accounting for the district office and providing accounting and reporting support for large and small local churches. Her district experience provides her with a rich leadership-view of church finances. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Transformational Ministry and Bible from Life Pacific College in San Dimas, California.
Kaitlin is an ordained Foursquare minister and serves as NextGen Pastor at her local church. When she is not working with Wisdom clients she enjoys spending time with her church family and often can be found creating pieces of art and is currently writing her first book.
Laura earned her degree in accounting in Mexico where she later worked in the accounting department of a large international corporation. After moving to the United States, she worked eight years for a national tax preparation firm before joining Wisdom in 2016. She provides Stewardship Services, is responsible for multiple payroll accounts, and specializes in clergy taxes. Fluent in Spanish, Laura also serves Wisdom's Spanish-speaking clients.
She is involved in serving at her local church. In her leisure time Laura also enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband, Shayne, and their three daughters.
Krystal is Wisdom’s newest member. Originally from the West coast, Krystal started her accounting career in a small church in California. While working for the church, she attended Life Pacific College where she met her husband. They moved to his home state of New Hampshire where Krystal continued down the accounting path by working for a service company as their accountant. She has experience in accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciling, forward projection, and overall bookkeeping. Krystal also serves as the Youth Pastor in a church in New Hampshire.
